The tooth fairy is coming tonight! What is she going to bring?

This morning Kennedy and I woke up at 5:45am to get ready to go to the oral surgeon. We had to get her arm nice and sleepy with some topical ointment and then head over to the surgeons office by 6:30 am. Kennedy was so excited. She has been growing an extra row of teeth in her mouth and so this morning she had to get 4 baby teeth removed so that the adult teeth could move forward. Ultimately-in about 6 months she will end up with braces on the bottom of her teeth to turn them and straighten them.

BEFORE

AFTER

The teeth turned the wrong way have to turn and straighten

A little chocolate milkshake to stop the bleeding and coat the stomach
before she takes her tylenol with codene. By the way I thought that made
kids sleepy. She hasn't slept except for 1 hour when we first got home.

Here is the 1 hour nap and a mouth full of gauze to stop the bleeding

A little pasta as instructed by the doctor

Ryker couldn't be left out. Notice the fancy serving tray.

Here is the golden treasurer waiting for the tooth fairy.

What should the tooth fairy bring for all four of these?

What does the tooth fairy bring to your house? What is your favorite thing you remember receiving from the tooth fairy.

Kaylyn gets $1 from the tooth fairy. I was a bit jealous because when I was a kid, we were thrilled to find a quarter! But this week, Kaylyn's friend Luke (who we stay with in St. Louis) lost his first tooth and he found $5 from the tooth fairy! He lost his second tooth a few days later and I haven't heard if the tooth fairy kept it the same for the second tooth.

Poor baby. Looks like she did okay through it all, though. Hey, those serving trays look a lot like ours. Oh, and the tooth fairy brings Olivia $2 per tooth, so she could go broke at your house.

When I was little I got my two front teeth knocked out. I got a $20 bill and a "certificate" for a Care Bear. I got to go pick which one I wanted. (I got Friend Bear-I still have it) Normally, I didn't make out so well, but a "hard earned" tooth deserves more than an easy one. The tooth fairy left a note to explain that I wouldn't always get so much. She was right. But it's a great memory! Good luck!
