If you had a three year old boy....

If you had a three year old boy would you.....

*let him buy a pink pair of Dora pajama bottoms that are two sizes too small at a garage sale?
*let him put them on in the car immediately?
*let him come home and dig through his sisters closet to find a pink matching shirt?
*let him wear it to the harvest festival at the Catholic church down the street?
*let him wear the outfit all day and night?
*let him attend a show that your older daughter is in downtown at the theatre wearing the same outfit?
*go to festival at the University wearing the same outfit?
*carry a bright pink shirt with you so that if any of your older boys made a comment they would have to wear a pink shirt too?
*let him walk through Wal-mart wearing his outfit and not comment when little girls ask their moms, "Is that a boy or a girl?"
*let him wear the outfit all night again, change for church, and wear it again all night until school the next morning?

Well......I did!!! And here are a few of the comments we heard?

In Wal-mart-
"Mom, is that a boy or a girl."

"Honey, he's a boy."

"Well, why is he wearing those clothes?"

Out in our Neighborhood-

"Wow! Ryker, I love your outfit."

Ryker beaming from ear to ear

"I don't know what kind of message you are trying to send, but I like it."

In our basement with our neighbor--

"Ryker, are those boy clothes or girl clothes?"

They're my clothes!! (Ryker)

Brady--Ryker are you a boy or a girl?

I'm a boy! (Ryker)

Why are you wearing those girl clothes? (Brady)

Because I like them. (Ryker)

Well, are you going to marry a boy or a girl? (Brady)

I am going to marry Kennedy. (Ryker)

You are so handsome. (Brady)

No I am not! I am bootiful! (Ryker)

And I think he is bootiful too!

I love you Ryker.

So thrilled to hear that I'm not alone. For whatever reason, Conner is the same way. As a matter of fact, as I started reading this post he walked in with his shirt stuck around his head, you know, like "hair".
"I'm a girl" (said in a girly, whiny voice.)
Nice.
