28

When your kids do something great or something terrible do you ever ask yourself, "whose side of the family did that come from?"

Well we just had one of those moments. Brady took the ACT test for the FIRST time a couple of weeks ago. We decided to just have him take it with no studying or preparation to just get a feel for it. He said he thought it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be.

So, about 5 minutes ago I got an email from ACT telling me his score was available. Some of his friends had already gotten their scores and they were 23, 24, so I wasn't expecting more than that.

I had to take a double take when I opened the score and it said 28!!!!! Whose side of the family did that come from?? You take a test with no study, no preparation and you get a 28 and the high is a 36. So he's only a sophomore and several tests dates to go and lots of study time available so we anticipate an even higher score next time.

WE ARE SO HAPPY!!!

Way to go Brady!

From what I remember, studying didn't help with learning new things but more the type of questions are asked so you're used to that style.

I knew good things would come out of that boy. He was always very "clever" as they would say here in OZ.
