Fall Fun

Fall at our house means....we are never home. We have football, football, and cross country, not to mention all the fun fall activities that we try to fit in. Here are some of the highlights of our past month.

Dad was out of town for a couple of weeks this month so we spent one of our free Saturdays at the apple orchard. The kids had a great time. We thought we would pick a full bushel of apples but once we picked a half of a bushel we decided to stop because it would take us forever to eat them. We also dried apples too and those went faster than the fresh apples. Ryker was the
keeper of the apple picker. He did pretty good with it.

Here are the 4 youngest doing a little taste testing. Brady was running in Oklahoma this day

Another day of running. This was conference championships. Brady had his personal best on this course and his team got 2nd in Conference.

This is Justin and some of his teammates. We were at the high school football game where they were recognized during half time as the next freshman football team. (WOW! Justin will be a freshman soon!) Justin has been an all-purpose player. Coach told Justin he has talked with the high school coach about him. Justin thinks that pretty cool.

It was pirate day at Rykers pre-school. He was so excited and he counted down the days until he got to dress up as a pirate. They had a treasure hunt, they walked the plank, the had to cross over alligators and they did a parade for the other grade levels at the elementary school

Our annual trip to the corn maze and pumpkin patch. A little colder but still a lot of fun. This year we used technology to answer the clue riddles that were in the maze. When we couldn't figure one out Brady sent a text to CHA CHA and they gave us the answer. We only had to do this a couple of times. We & CHA CHA got all the answers correct and you know what we won? A sweet tart pack (halloween size!)

While we are at Brady's Cross Country meets the kids pass time by
playing a little football. Ryker was right in the middle.

Believe it or not this is the same day as the picture above.
The clouds were rolling through allday long.
Kennedy and a Friend taking it easy under the umbrella at the meet.

We still have our trunk or treat on Saturday, 3 more cross country meets (districts, sectionals, & state), and 2 more football games, along with multiple troupe performances and only 2 weeks to accomplish it all. Wish us luck.
