Sum, Sum, Summer Time!!

It's over...summer is over (and we are into Fall) and I am happy and sad at the same time. I love having my kids home - most of the time. Some days I would like to give them away...just for a few hours.

I'm sad because I love the freedom to come and go as we please without worrying about homework, school activities, practices, forgetting things we need, pta...you get the idea.

I'm happy because starting school requires us to be on a schedule. We have a bedtime. We eat 3 meals a day...not 20. We do our jobs consistently. I have my kids more to myself..than sharing with the neighbors.

So as summer has ended and fall is now here I wanted to share a few things we did this summer.

Carter and Shawn went to scout camp at Camp Hale in Oklahoma.

Carter earned 10 merit badges.

Trouble Makers were put in Jail.

How do you like that spider?

Here is what happens when a 4 year old and 10 year old are put in charge of the hose when you are washing the car.

Renting a boat is the way to go...we picked it up...drove away...played all day...returned the boat...got in the care and went home. It was awesome. This is the only way to do it.

We spent some time at the bowling alley. I'm pretty sure that Ryker is going to be a professional bowler.

We ended our summer with a trip to Schliterbahn in Kansas City!
We spent 2 days and had so much fun. This is the 2nd day at the end of the day.

A few noteworthy accomplishments this summer:
1. Ryker learned to swim
2. Brady got his license
3. Ryker learned to ride his bike without training wheels

I also went to girls camp but I will save that for a seperate post. Maybe by next summer!
