SCHOOL CHOIR
Kenendy is in the choir at her elementary school. 3rd and 4th graders make up the choir. The teacher has opportunities for solos at each performance. Kennedy had a solo at the first performance and so she did not try out for the Holiday Solo because she wants a solo in the spring performance where she will get to travel to her brothers schools.
Anyway a few weeks ago she got in the car after choir practice and told me the solos had been announced for the holiday performance. I ask her who got them because I knew she did not try out. And with the most disgusted look she could have on her face she said, "ME!" I just had to laugh.
This week was her performances (She was also a 50's dancer for "Jingle Bell Rock", thus the costume) The choir walked to the elementary school across the street. (Don't ask why there are two elementary schools across the street) Then they performed a few days later for the families and then on Tuesday for the school. Although I am her parent, I am convinced that it had to be one of the hardest songs I've heard. It was a beautiful Hanukkah song but it was hard. And not just once but three times she nailed it. I was so happy for her. Kennedy works so hard to make sure her songs are just right.
She has already begun her practice for her audition for the Talent Showcase at the theatre downtown. She will be singing "On the good ship lollipop." Wish us luck.
WARD CHRISTMAS PARTY
This past week we also had our ward Christmas Party at church. They had some performances and a sing-a-long along with desserts. We love how this ward takes such good care of Shawn and Brady. On the dessert table there was a section for gluten-free desserts. It was so nice to go to a party and not have to worry about what they would eat.
Kennedy sang up on the housetop with Shawn at the piano.
Carter played "The First Noel" on the piano
Brady, Justin and Shawn played "We wish you a Merry Christmas" on the bells.
Joella and Shawn did a reading of the Polar Express with Brady as our sound effects.
It was a lot of fun.

Ok, crying again! I miss our Ward SOO much! Before I moved here I remember thinking "We'll have a great Ward because there are so many more members around there." Nope. 3rd Ward is still the best Ward I've ever been in.
I wish I could see Kennedy perform. You need to upload videos of that kind of stuff.
Merry Christmas!
