The Car Ride Home

Usually our car ride home from school is full of drama and emotion. Kennedy saves up all the feelings from the day and as soon as she gets in the car she lets them out which usually means we have some loud conversations in the car as Carter does not tolerate the drama very well and I really don't either. But on the Tuesday that school let out for Christmas Break Kennedy got in the car in a very good mood. She waited a few minutes and then with a little smile on her face and sitting in the back of the van she quietly said, "Hey mom, look what I got today!" She then passed up a beautiful silver heart bracelet. I asked her where she got it and she proceeded to tell me it was from Jake. (Jake was in her kindergarten and first grade class, but not in second). It was in a beautiful box and with a card he made. She told me that Jake was too scared to give it to her so his best friend Will gave it to her in the morning while they were waiting to go to their classrooms.
When her brothers saw it they were all shocked. A few minutes later Justin asked me if he could by a bracelet for a girl? My answer- I don't think so!!

That is so cute. Jake obviously hasn't met Kennedy's dad. Thanks for letting us know about your blog. It's such a great way to keep up with one another! We can't believe how much Justin & Carter look like Shawn. Ryker looks like he is so funny. In addition to all the underwear, we love the pink moon boots!

Joella,

Thanks for sending this to me, your family is beautiful. The boys really do look like Shawn. I miss the days when Jenn was that size.
