Although Shawn turned 40 a couple of weeks ago I still wanted to document his 40th birthday. The day started with his office being decorated by his staff. (I had supplied the decorations earlier in the week and they took care of the rest.) Then I sent an email to everyone on my email account and told them it was Shawns birthday. Everyone took time and sent him an email. He enjoyed receiving them and hearing from old friends. Then the kids and I cooked him steak,shrimp,baked potatos and veggies. For his birthday cake I made a flourless chocolate cake with real whipping cream and strawberries on top. It was so yummy. I guess you could say Shawn is maturing a bit. He asked for some CS Lewis books for his birthday and he has been reading them every night. In a couple of weeks Shawn and I will be going to Branson for the night to finish celebrating his birthday.

Joellea he looks so relaxed. Hope 40 is that is easy for me only have 3 months to go.
